Racer Productions, producers of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series, has announced the third-annual season of the UTV/side-by-side portion of the GNCC series.

Class Championships will be determined by a team's best finishes in a minimum number of five events. A team must enter a minimum of five events in order to be eligible for series awards and national class ranking. The minimum number of events does not have to be in the same class. AMA Membership is not required to compete in the UTV classes.

The UTVs will race at the following GNCC rounds:

Rd 2 Maxxis General GNCC, Washington, GA , March 6-7
Rd 4 Pirelli Big Buck , Union, S.C. , April 10-11
Rd 7 Moose Mountain Ridge, Somerset, PA, May 22-23
Rd 8 Wiseco John Penton, Millfield, OH, June 5-6
Rd 12 ITP Power Line Park, St. Clairsville, OH, October 9-10
Rd 13 The Ironman, Crawfordsville, IN, October 23-24

The new SxS Customs HID headlight conversion kit offers a true plug and play install which should take less than an hour to install. The kit includes a slim digital 35 watt ballast with 6000K bulbs, a complete wiring harness that allows it to interface into the factory headlight harness without cutting any wires.

HID headlights draw less power to operate then the factory stock bulbs. They only draw 35 watts per side as opposed to 55 watts of power draw per side with the factory bulbs. The sand dunes at Moses Lake may not be the most glamorous place to ride in the Pacific Northwest, but they do have their advantages. The first time I rode here was in the late 80’s. I was in town with a business associate, and he had brought his motorcycles, a large bore Husky and his street legal Honda 175. Guess which machine I was privileged to ride? Well, I survived and about 10 years later when my children were old enough to ride and were on spring break with nothing planned, the Moses Lake Dunes came to mind. We borrowed some ATVs from some friends, took an RV, and camped right on the sand. Everyone had a good time, and we have been going back a couple times a year ever since. Now, what the Moses Lake Sand Dunes lack in glamour they make up for in comfort and convenience.
