coolant temp

Hi All! Would appreciate some help here. I have an 660 Rhino 2007. I think there is some problem with my BRP temp guage. I was going up the heel and was trying to keep up with my friend's rhino when my temp light came on - it was boiling at 220 F! I am pretty sure it's too HOT. What can be he problem? any ideas? THx
You're right - 220 is HOT! The engine will be Ok at 205. My 686 doesn't run much beyond 190 usually. Your quage can be a problem. UTVCrap has adaptor that you can install on your outbound water line and run your temp sensor there. That way you are reading exactly what is your water temp from the motor as its leaving. If it still shows high then you have a problem. Either way, using their adaptor is the best way of getting accurate water temp from your Rhino.
